As the Hope Line moderator, I talk to a lot of people. Some people text in just to say hi and that they are so glad that we exist. Some want to know more about the project. But the far majority of people are texting in looking for advice or inspiration. They're seeking someone who will just simply listen to them.
I read a lot of painful and broken words. There is such beauty in that kind of brokenness and honesty. And I don't take this responsibility lightly.
But more often than not, people are so reluctant to hear positive things about themselves. They push back and insist that they are nothing more than the lies this world and satan would have them believe.
Maybe you're reading this and you feel the same way. Broken. Defeated. That you aren't worth it.
Hear me when I say this: stop giving yourself a reason to not be okay. You have to let yourself heal. You have to want it. And you have to fight for it.
I can't want it enough for you. I can't make you want recovery and healing.
You have to allow yourself to heal.
It's not easy. Trust me, I know first hand.
But no one will ever be able to want it enough for you.
Realize that you are worth it. You deserve this.
You deserve to be happy. You deserve healing and redemption.
But you have to want it.
It's a hard fight. But you don't have to walk it alone.
I'll walk with you if you'd like.
I would be honored to be part of your journey.
You are worth this fight.
As always you can keep up with me over at ohhaiiitsbrandii.wordpress.com
