Tonight I get the privilege of speaking to my youth group. But unlike any other time, this time, I'm nervous. I'm speaking on something that I never have before. And it's terrifying.
Tonight I'll speak on the importance of missions and ways to get involved. Whether it be that you are called to full time missions or not, there are ways for you to be involved. Missions doesn't always mean you have to be the one to go. We can't all be called to be missionaries. Some of us have to stay behind and support in other ways.
I'm not called to missions. But that doesn't mean I can't support missions. That doesn't mean I can't speak about missions. And just because I never have, doesn't mean that it will be a train wreck.
I'll be honest, I'm nervous about this. So much more than if I were sharing my story or speaking about hope. But I'm confident in what God has laid on my heart to share tonight.
So if you think about it today, say a prayer for me. Pray that the words I say will be for His glory and not mine. We have an obligation to share the gospel so that all will hear. I pray that I don't forget that.
Missions doesn't have to be big or extravagant. It can simply be sharing the Good News with those around you. It can be loving those that are often unloved. Missions is much more a mindset rather than a destination.
Until the whole world hears, I'll keep sharing what He has done for me. Won't you join me?
As always you can keep up with me over at ohhaiiitsbrandii.wordpress.com
Until next time,
