As you're reading this, I'm probably already in Avant, Oklahoma at Shepherd's Fold Ranch to help put on the 20 Leadership Camp or will soon be there. If that's the case, I won't be able to interact with you guys until Wednesday night when I get home. So let me tell you a little bit about what I'm going to be doing the next few days.
The 20 Leadership Camp is a faith based camp that is based on the Pareto Principle which in simple terms is that 80% of the results come from 20% of the people. We are the 20%. We have a team of volunteers called Blueshirts that help facilitate activities for our campers.
This is unlike any camp you've ever been a part of. We focus on experiential learning and challenge by choice. Which means our students learn by doing and in doing so, we encourage them to step out of their comfort zone, but never force them to.
I absolutely love everything about this camp. I love building and fostering friendships with our campers, as well as our Blueshirts. The 20 Camp is a family. We care about each other. We're there for each other. We do life together.
You may wonder why volunteering for something like this is so important. Well let me tell you.
This generation is full of world changers. Full of students that are so passionate about serving Jesus and making a difference in this world that to not invest into them for such a time as this would be such a disservice to them.
I'm honored to play this role in their lives. This generation has been looked over and considered worthless. But they are so much more than that.
Investing in them isn't something that I have to do. It's something I get to do. And I'm continually humbled that God chose someone like me to plat this part for them.
I look forward to sharing with you guys all the incredible things that God does these next three days.
Thank you for your support and for being such a blessing in my life.
The Project Semicolon community is a great one to be a part of.
You guys are the best. Thank you for continuing your story.
As always you can keep up with me over at ohhaiiitsbrandii.wordpress.com
Until next time,
