I figure that if I'm going to be a part of this incredible team, that it'd be helpful for you guys to know a bit about me.
Well for starters, my name is Brandi Schneider and I live in the great city of Muskogee, Oklahoma and I'm a 25 year old youth ministry intern and actively pursuing this thing called recovery.
Depression, self harm, and suicide have been a part of my life for the better part of the past decade, and in the past two years I've found myself in a pretty consistent place when its come to recovery.
That's not to say that I don't still struggle, I have and still do, but I'll save more in depth details until my next post.
I count myself as incredibly blessed to have been given this opportunity to give my story a chance to reach and impact more people than I ever thought imaginable. Our Father certainly is a gracious one.
These stories are painful, yet beautifully liberating to write. Being in an active role in ministry makes these conversations vital. So many students share so many painful stories with me on a weekly basis and I count it as such an honor to be a part of their journeys and am amazed that God would choose someone like me to be part of their lives.
I'm looking forward to sharing more with you all, as we navigate these journeys together. You aren't alone in your struggles. You matter very much, and in case no one has told you recently, you're beautiful.
You can also catch me over on WordPress sharing in conjunction with my posts here at ohhaiiitsbrandii.wordpress.com.
Much love to you all.
