As I write this, there is currently around two inches of snow on the ground. Stillness has settled in and it looks so beautiful glistening in the light of street lights. The silence of the sky and the crispness of the air has a wonderful sense of peace. We are surrounded by a blanket of white.
White is such a pure color. So innocent. Free from blemish.
Have you ever noticed an area of snow that hasn't been stepped in yet?
I like to imagine that's what the Father sees when we come home to Him.
He sees what was once full of stains and blemishes as white as a freshly fallen snow. We are given a clean slate. We are given grace.
This morning I had the opportunity to pray with a student and watch her rededicate her life to Jesus. The fact that when I walked outside after church, that blanket of snow was starting to form. It represented the same fresh start that she just received.
He longs for us to come home to Him. He longs for us to be made new. He wants to make our hearts as pure as this freshly fallen snow I'm looking out the window at.
Come home to Him.
His arms are always open.
No matter what the season is, He is always ready to give you a fresh and snowy start.
As always you can keep up with me over at ohhaiiitsbrandii.wordpress. com
