At this point, I'm sure all of you have heard of the terrible tragedy that has struck our friends in Nepal. These are our brothers and sisters. These are families that are forever broken and shattered. These are people in desperate need of the love of Jesus and the love of those of us who love Jesus.
The pictures are heartbreaking. The news, devastating. The death toll, ever increasing. And the heartbreak that these people are experiencing is enough to break your own heart.
I know that the mission of Project Semicolon is to raise awareness for mental health issues and remind people that their stories aren't over yet. And I know that some of you may be wondering why I'm writing about this.
Well, it's really quite simple. These people, now more than ever, need to be reminded that their stories aren't over yet. That if they survived this terrible tragedy, that they still have a purpose. That even though they have lost countless loved ones, maybe even all of them, that they still have a story to tell. And we owe it to them to help them discover or maybe rediscover their voice.
If you are the praying type, I urge you, no, I implore you to pray for the people of Nepal. Find some way to be the hands and feet of Jesus to these precious people.
Like ours, their stories are far from being over. Will you help them keep writing?
As always, you can keep up with me over at ohhaiiitsbrandii.wordpress.com
